The Future of Business Intelligence

The Best IT Network Configuration is customized for each individual customer according to their specific needs and situations.  There are, however, main components that remain constants in each solution: the servers; the switch/Router; the POS terminals; the controller; receipt printers; prep monitors; cabling/connectors; and pos cash register drawer.

The server is an Intel Xeon Quad computer with 4 processors and 4 removable SCSI hard drives in that mirror transaction and management data.  The Switch/Router uses Cisco Technology with scalable devices capacity.

The touch screen POS terminals, combine functionality and durability with a user-friendly interface.  The controller is a board with one-to-one connectivity (one controller per monitor) to ensure maximum power, speed, and up-time.

Receipt printers are 40-column thermal or dot matrix with connectivity to any one of the POS terminals on the network.  The prep monitors utilize the latest in flat screen technology and readability, reducing order errors.

The cabling and connectors are readily available category five or “shielded” twisted pair cabling with RJ-45 connectors (all with the exception of cash drawers – RJ-11).

POS cash register drawers are deluxe, heavy-duty steel drawers with reinforced ball bearing slides.  5-bill/5-coin capacity with a “document slot.”  The POS cash register drawers are available with counter or under-counter mounting with an RJ-11 connector into the terminal
